Position : Manager Business Development and Partnerships

GoodVisionGlasses Kenya

Over 150 million people worldwide need glasses but cannot afford them. Children cannot learn, adults cannot work and care for their families. We want to change that.
OneDollarGlasses was founded in 2012 by Martin Aufmuth and has since received many awards. Today, our non-profit association is active in ten project countries. Around 500 employees worldwide, including more than 300 volunteers in Germany are deeply committed to our common goal: www.onedollarglasses.org

To strengthen our project in Kenya, Nairobi we are looking for a dynamic and inspiring (f/m/d)

Manager Business Development and Partnerships

Responsibilities

Business development

  • Researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives
  • Researching prospective opportunities and accounts in target markets
  • Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth

Analysis and Strategy

  • Develop and implement a business and marketing strategy based on market and target group analysis as well a stakeholder analysis.
  • Providing continuous and ad-hoc analyses and insights on all ongoing marketing activities, patient acquisition, patient retention and activity.

   Marketing

  • Responsible for driving sales and ensuring proper management of marketing alignment initiatives and processes that will support exceptional lead management, enhanced data quality, and improved lead quality.
  • Development and managing of all marketing operations with the focus of enabling efficient lead scoring, campaign tracking, lead management, database health, targeting, segmentation strategies, and alignment with sales initiatives.
  • Managing various offline marketing programs that range from content marketing to targeted outbound programs.

   Partnerships

  • Building close relationships with existing and potential partner institutions, with a view to stimulate actors in the public, private and non-governmental sectors to initiate and develop collaborations 
  • Represent the organisation to government, the private sector, civil society and the media, developing trusted relationships with partners and stakeholders
  • Develop substantive partnership activities (projects, programs, reforms and coordination functions) in collaboration with operational staff from across partner organizations.

Leadership

  • Lead and mange our optical & sales staff; coach and develop the team members as well as the team spirit
  • Create a working environment that is inspiring, people and performance oriented
Required profile for job ad : Manager Business Development and Partnerships

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years related work experience in business development, sales, management, marketing or related field, NGO-experience is a plus
  • Experience of working with diverse teams and multicultural environment, as well as ability to work with partners using effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in engaging with multiple partners diplomatically and build meaningful strategic relationships.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Ability to maintain demanding timelines
  • Proficient in  MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
