Position : Manager Squad Leader This role is "Squad Leader” - which is ultimately the City Manager/ Lead and has the potential to grow to a Country Manager role, as the business grows.
The City Manager/ Squad Leader will have an activations team of about 20 to start and work to about 100 team members (BoxSqaud Members)that report in to you. This is the squad that will do the heavy lifting on a day to day basis, through lead generation, onboarding and activating merchants.
The City Manager/ Squad Leader will have to be actively involved across the life time of a merchant within the Box ecosystem and actively look at opportunities not just to improve the internal BoxSquad but to improve the experience of each merchant that is onboarded. This role is divided between strong on-the-ground team management skills and a delicate-attention-to-detail skillset on the merchant experience.
KPIs and responsibilities
BoxSquad hiring and training
• The City Manager/ Squad Leader will have to build the on- the-ground BoxSquad team from scratch.
• Constant training of the BoxSquad to achieve maximum performance (lead-onboard-activate).
• 20 new agents per month in order to achieve to merchant onboarding MoM KPIs (*depending on how it goes, this can be adapted to reality. i.e SMEs per month per agent, etc).
SMEs Onboarding
• The City Manager/ Squad Leader will support the BoxSquad in order to achieve to MoM and FY merchants onboarded targets.
o Monthly target to be defined as per commercial plan.
• Ensure that team has the right support on a day-to-day basis and be the link in between the merchants and the internal BoxCommerce stake holders.
• Ensure continuous improvement of the onboarding process end to end to ensure that the conversion rate from lead to onboard increases. *This will include not just pitch structure but technical support that might be needed to increase efficiencies.
SMEs activation or merchant first sale (40,000 - 1 year across country)
• The City Manager/ Squad Leader will support the BoxSquad in order to achieve to MoM and FY active merchants targets.
o Monthly target to be defined as per commercial plan.
• Ensure that team has the right support on a day to day and be the link in between the merchants and the internal stake holders
• Ensure continuous improvement of the activation process - from onboarded to first sales.
• Constant innovations and new initiatives based on on-the-ground-learning to increase conversion to active merchant.
Innovation
• In tech we need to evolve daily, if something does not work, we change it! The City Manager/ Squad Leader will be responsible to formulate new initiatives from concept to execution, that will directly impact positively on the conversion funnel of a merchant.
• The impact of the above initiative must be measurable (either cost efficient, better conversion, etc.)
