Student Internship - Content Researcher and Social Media Contributor

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and proactive student intern to join our team as a Content Researcher and Social Media Contributor.

This unpaid part-time internship is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the media industry and build your portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on content related to business, technology, startups, and the economy within the East African context.
• Find and share inspirational quotes from prominent East African voices (diaspora/local) within the business sector.
• Discover videos featuring (1) startups, and (2) inspirational messages/advice from entrepreneurs, artists, or business people.
• Write engaging and concise social media content (approximately 120 words) based on the research topics.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a college or university
• Strong research skills and the ability to find relevant and interesting content.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, with a focus on creating engaging and concise social media content.
• Familiarity with East African culture, current events, and the business ecosystem.
• Proficient in English both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Passionate about Business, Technology, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Lifestyle topics.
• Preferred if enrolled in a relevant degree program, such as communications, journalism, marketing, international studies, etc.
