My duties revolved around the design and quantification of light-gauge steel trusses and roofing materials. Orders would come in through the sales team, and using specialized software, I would do structural analysis of the roof framework and present the bill of materials back to the relevant salesperson. When the order was confirmed, my responsibility was to make any revisions necessary and present the project to the design manager. Once approved, I would prepare fabrication drawings using AutoCAD and liaise with the site team to ensure that the erection is done as required. I kept track of all my projects and the metrics.
